ABOUT ELIZABETH
J.R.R.Tolkien wrote that “Not all those who wander are lost.” I should know; I wandered for 25 years. I was baptized in the Episcopal church and spent my teenage years searching for a spiritual home. I bounced from church to church- from Catholic to Baptist, from Presbyterian to Non-denominational Christian, but I was never able to find the right spiritual home for me. When I was 17, I had a very negative experience while attending a Pentecostal Christian church. I was very disenchanted by conservative religion and sought to find my own path.
I became a Seeker.
After several years, and as a young mother of two, I had grown and become more experienced in my life. I began listening more closely to my inner voice, and then I had a revelation. It was a message given to me by the Goddess. It was a voice of reason, a universal truth which is different for each of us but is always there.
And that is what The Tenth House is about. Pathways to a Sacred Journey.
This was the beginning of a new spiritual path for me, paganism and Wicca, and I became eager to learn as much as I could about this earth-centered spirituality. This path felt so right for me . . . it was simple . . . natural, and that message from the universe became clearer as time passed.
After a few years as a solitary practitioner, and moving around the country, I settled in Colorado. This is where I met my teacher and High Priestess, Lady Ishtar (Mama Ish). I studied with her for 12 years learning the ways of the craft, reading tarot, as well as several healing modalities and shamanic journey work. By 2014, I was elevated to the designation of 3rd Degree High Priestess. I then accepted the leadership role in my coven, the Daughters of Danu. I had found my home.

Although it took 25 years for me to find my place and my tribe within my community, I was not lost. As an earnest Seeker, I persisted. However, there are Seekers out there who are not as fortunate. I find that there are many individuals out in the world that are alone, isolated and shunned by those who do not care to understand what is different. My vision was to create a safe place for those Seekers…wandering. A place of education and community.

In astrology, The Tenth House is the House of Capricorn . . . the 10th sign of the Zodiac. This house represents social standing, careers and success. It made perfect sense to me to call my business The Tenth House offering success and community to all who Seek. This is my opportunity to give back . . . to teach, educate and guide others on their sacred journeys.

At its foundation, The Tenth House is a place of education and guidance. It is an idea that you can be whatever you want to be and learn about yourself and the path you choose…whether it is traditional or alternative.

I offer to those who choose a non-traditional path the opportunity to learn more about the spirituality that resonates with them. They can delve deep within by way of different methods and modalities. From workshops to rituals…from meditation to shamanic journeywork. There are many choices, and they can choose whichever path speaks to them. It’s not about where you end up that matters most; it’s all about your personal journey through life and what you experience along the way.
